These maps depict forecasted values for the Canadian Fire Weather Index (FWI) system using the 0.25° Global Forecast System. The FWI values are calculated daily, with values above 30 generally corresponding to extreme fire weather risk. Descriptions of these indices and their interpretation can be found on Canada's natural resources website. This tool is still being validated and is therefore experimental.
